Families
Located on secluded peninsula hugged by a series of tranquil bays, Le Canonnier has many natural assets which make it an ideal destination for families holidaying in Mauritius.
The resort has extensive gardens that slope gently down to the beaches. Planted with exotic plants, flowers and age-old trees, the gardens are dotted with colonial relics that are sure to have a great impact on children's fertile imagination. The resort also features two free-flowing pools.
A popular resort for families who travel to Mauritius, Le Canonnier has two types of rooms which perfectly match family needs. Family Duplexes form the first category and have a mezzanine for children whereas the larger Family Apartments have two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Right in the middle of the gardens, guests will discover what is possibly the most original kids club in Mauritius. Housed in an ancient lighthouse built in stone, it will give children the impression of having their own secret pirate lair. Right outside the kids club, there is also an old gun powder magazine which is fantastic for playing hide-and-seek.
Toddlers are also catered for. A baby care room located off the reception area allows parents travelling with babies to access all the basic items to take care of their children including a bottle warmer, a sterilizer, a changing table and a refrigerator filled with yoghurts.
Children also have their own restaurant area located right next to the main restaurant. Having a corner of their own will certainly make them feel very grown-up!
Families who want the ultimate peace of mind during their holidays in Mauritius can book the hotel's optional all-inclusive package that covers all meals and essentials from the arrival right until the departure from the resort.

Mini Club
Magical would accurately describe Le Canonnier's kids club, which is possibly the most appealing in Mauritius. As a popular family resort in Mauritius, Le Canonnier has spared no effort to make sure kids have the time of their lives at the kids club.
In keeping with its approach towards sustainable development, the resort has chosen to use the relic of an eighteenth-century lighthouse and turn it into a venue reserved for children aged 3 to 12. A few steps away is an ancient thatch-roofed powder magazine that children also put to good use when they play hide-and-seek.
The kids club cosy interior consists of two spacious rooms with parquet flooring and furnished to suit two different age groups. Storm lights and an ancient wooden trunk help infuse the venue with an aura of adventure and secrecy.
The kids club also opens onto a small garden equipped with swings and a wooden climbing frame. The supervised program includes many indoor and outdoor activities, complemented by a range of toys and games available within the facility.
